window problem

  Hi Jason,
  I forgot what year Imp you have. You might want to include it in the 
"Subject:" line for more responses. In the next few days (or possibly 
tomorrow the 25th)I have to remove the window motor from the drivers-side 
front door on my '75. The motor runs..but the window just jiggles.

  If your car has the vent windows,which mine has,I believe both windows and 
the front track come out as one unit....and replaced that way.  ?

  I replaced all 4 motors in the '69 N.Y.'er 4dr I had in the mid-'80's when 
I was in my late-teens. Everything worked out ok.

  I'll be getting more insight as I dive into the window motor changing 
process soon.

  One thing I would suggest is getting a repair manual. The Service manual 
and Body manuals are most helpful.

how hard is it to take apart the door and put my window back on track..has 
anyone done this procedure before?
