Mark, start off with the easy and obvious first,
use jumper leads from another car or battery, this will most likely be the
problem, if not then you at least took a suspect part out of the equation, or
you can get the wife to watch the headlights as you turn the key, if they go
real dim then the battery is definitely the problem, replace it. Then you can
move on to the next obvious thing which are the leads, check for good
contact at both ends, if they are fine go on to the starter, etc, etc, work your
way in from the easiest point, the battery, and you will find it for
sure.
