So you're saying that with all of the engineering
talent available at chrysler, not to mention the
superior design talent of Virgil Exner that they
weren't able to connect two letters together on a
peice of script, AND that they repeated the "error"
for YEARS through 1963?

I've heard some real way-out conspiracy theories in my
day, but that one's a little over the top.

Hey - either they're connected or they aren't, and on
that script, they just aren't.
