Greetings Imperialists

I know I am preaching to the choir here, but the build quality and engineering  of my 60 Custom is to me at times almost unreal.

To be driving at 65 mph on a windy day and have only one small windleak noise from  45 yr old window rubber is amazing!.

And I think that noise is coming from a piece that ripped and I tried to reglue.

They really don't build cars like this anymore!

I am convinced that if Chrysler cut great deals with owners of 1957/58 Imperials, even to the extent of losing money, on trade in's for the 1960 model the brand may have survived.  Customer dissatisfaction with these late 50's models probably doomed the brand and it is too bad Chrysler did not do all they could to turn this around.  Of course by 1960 Chrysler was having another management crises so I guess we couldn't have expected much from them...but it is certainly interesting to speculate on what might have been.
