It may be called Masonite by some or many, but if you buy it at the hardware store (where I am anyway) it is just called pressed fiber board.  It is very cheap, I think that I paid $8.00 for a 4'x8' sheet.  It is very rigid, not flexible like wood paneling for your house.  The masonite that they sell at the hardware store here (Home Depot), has a masonite coating on one side, some people use it on the walls in their showers.  The stuff that I am referring to is just a board.  I would attach a photo of what I am referring to here, but not sure that I can do that on the IML.  If you would like a picture of the product, email me off the list and I will send you one, as well as a panel in process if you like.
