( _____ ) In late 1963 / early 1964 MoPar made two changes to the 361 / 383 / 413 / 426 wedge heads. The design of the rocker arm assembly was changed as it bolts to the head and the number of attaching points for the leaking valve cover. For the valve leaking cover they added lower corner bolts / studs. What this means to your Imperial is that if you have four attaching point to hold the leaking valve cover on you must use the early style rocker arm assembly if you want to keep the heads. If you mess up or loose one of your valve covers a six hole unit will bolt up to the four head unit and will still leak as your old one. The last year with the spark plug wire holders in the same location as your bolt on's is the 66 Imperial for other MoPars started routing them differant.. The later model heads from 1964 361 / 383 / 400 / 413 / 426 wedge and 440 to the last ones built in 1985 ( Motor Home ) will work on your 1962 Imperial. If you do this just have the pair from the same year series ( '65 with '65, 70 with 70 or 78 with 78's ). All of the above will bolt to your Imperials engine. As the years get newer they will flow better than what you have.
