I have this heater in my 1956 DeSoto intact.  I have been afraid to try to use it, the though of burning gasoline just doesn't appeal to me.  However, I also have the manual for my car, and there is information on the 1956 unit in it.  If any of that information is useful, I am happy to provide you with it.
