The 1958 parts book says that 1690 822 is the "Rr. Dr. Side Mldg.-RT", which would be the right rear door side molding, in civilian talk.

The '57 canadian (ha ha ha !!) parts book list 1690 822 as the "right rear door outside finish molding" for  Imperial 4dr sedan and 4 dr "spec. club coupe" (which is the 4dr HT).
