Greetings everyone
. All things being equal ,how would the ride,
steering ,and handling compare between a 60 and 67 Imperial?.
I know that they both have torsion bars up
front with leaf springs on the rear, but is that where
the similarities end?
The reason I ask is that my 67 Crown Coupe handles
,corners and takes bumps surprisingly well for such a large car.
By contrast my 60 will bounce a bit or "float
" over bumps.
Not a terrible bounce ,but much different
than my 67
Also though there doesn't seem to be anything
specifically wrong with the steering on my 60, it does take more
concentration while driving to keep it in its intended lane.
Is this normal ?.
I do know that my 60 has helper springs over
the
rear shocks.
Would this cause it to bounce?
Is it realistic to compare ( or expect) the same
ride and handling from my 60 as my 67?
Thanks in
advance
