1960 Brakes

All of the parts you need to fix your brakes are available here in the states
NEW, except for drums and possibly brake shoes. Hopefully the ones you have can
be resurfaced and relined. Do not mess around with trying to make your old
brakes work. Just rebuild them and replace all of the rubber hoses. Also be
prepared to possibly have to replace some of the metal lines in case they have
rusted through, or break off at the wheel cylinders while you are trying to
unfasten them.

This one is totally up to you, but I decided to use DOT 5 silicone brake fluid
this time since my cars tend to sit around a lot, and the brakes have gone bad
from both lack of use and moisture in the lines. This will not happen with DOT
5. I have heard some say that the brakes don't work as well with DOT 5, but
this has not been my experience. In my case, they have worked as well or better
than they ever have for me.
