I assume the choke is working since it was in the closed position when the car was cold. The last time I stated that I thought it was not working since it was always in the open position, was after the car was warmed up at running temperature. I thought it opened and closed with the rev of the engine, but I think I was thinking about the valves at the bottom of the carb.
