I think the prices of these are getting so high is because
people seem to think the one they're bidding on is the only one left to be had
& pay far too much. Anyone that follows ebay regularly knows that most all
years of these manuals are up for auction on a pretty regular basis. I wouldn't
be surprised if there are 10 manuals to every one Imperial left today. However,
I do think that whatever price, its money well spent. Just breaking one item
because you didn't have the FSM to tell you how to get it appart would likely
cost more to replace then the manual. Same goes for the parts book, many
suppliers won't offer much help if you don't have the Chrysler part number for
your seach. This is also why many wind up with a part they didn't want &
can't get the vendor to take it back. The customer then blames the vendor for a
problem that they didn't create.
