Mike, have you consider shorting the rheostat out? I have not studied the
wiring diagram, but I would think that its possible to short the rheostat,
which means that you will basically bypass it. The bad news is that the
dash lights will be at their highest at all times. Also, you may not be
able to turn on the interior lights from the driver seats unless you open
the door (rheostat seems to also control interior lights ).
