Impcop/other topics



Fellow Imperial enthusiasts:

I completely agree with Allen.  This is a list for Imperial owners and 
enthusiasts that are committed to preserving these cars foremost.  It is 
important that with the large number of subscribers that we do not stray off 
topic a great deal, but let's face it:  they put AFB's on both Imperials and 
Lincoln Continentals along with numerous other examples back then and the 
problems are not necessarily indicative of the marque alone!  I would think 
that such speech that closely pertains to Imperials would be permitted if 
not encouraged without recourse from an Impcop as with the case of Roy.

I was somewhat offended by the actions that have brought about this 
discussion. I went as far as to send Roy a message telling him of my 
feelings and asking him to overlook the shortsightedness on the part of 
whomever it was that chastised him earlier.

It seems to me that if the guards continue this trend, that we risk the 
possibility of losing yet more knowledgeable old car buffs that have been 
there and can help us all. I can't blame Roy for picking up his marbles and 
going home at this point.

I feel compelled to and justified in asking for the Impcop in question to 
publicly apologize to Roy and to resign effective immediately.

Well, now that I have voiced my opinion as well I hope I can find someone to 
hide me in their attic until the streets are safe again.
