Kerry Pinkerton wrote an extensive description of how he "de-Autotemped" his first '73 LeBaron. Here it is:

On the '73 I bought from him, I simply mounted two toggle switches on the dash; one turns the compressor on and the other switches the fan on ("high" only). Simple, but it works, even in central Mississippi (102F yesterday)!
