Hmm. A flat spot usually means a bad spot on the Flex Plate Ring Gear. If that is the case the starter will spin but not turn the engine over. If you just had Transmission overhauled, He should have seen that and brought it to your attention before reinstalling the transmission. The ring gear is not all that expensive but the transmission has to be removed again. Your tranny guy should eat that labor if that's the case. If it is the starter itself that wont engage then it is a simple matter of changing the starter, which is something the average guy can do with basic tools. Starters for Mopars are easy to get.
