I found a closeout deal but Walmart's house brand is ~$4.80/qt. Much cheaper than any other brand.Bill MOn Sat, Feb 15, 2020, 11:45 AM dennis.1963ply <dennis.1963ply@xxxxxxxxx> wrote:Hello,I have a 727 out of a mid 70's pickup that I have questions about:It is completely drained including the torque converter. What transmission fluid would you recommend?I need to start and check the 318 that it will be attached to before it goes in the car. Even though it did have transmission fluid in it a few years ago should I pour fluid in the converter before attaching the transmission?Last question I want to start the engine and run it with the transmission attached but no driveshaft. Will I be OK just using one of the plastic cups that go in the tail shaft to keep fluid from leaking out?ThanksDennis C.
