I ended up ising ATF+4 (full synthetic) in my 727 for my poly stroker build. I found a closeout deal but Walmart's house brand is ~$4.80/qt. Much cheaper than any other brand.

Last question I want to start the engine and run it with the transmission attached but no driveshaft. Will I be OK just using one of the plastic cups that go in the tail shaft to keep fluid from leaking out?
