Hello,
Has any one on the list had experience installing an aftermarket air conditioner on a 1962 Dodge (Dart) Phoenix.
My car had a dealer installed air conditioner, but a previous owner took it out because it was very bulky and not original from the factory. I have the parts, but they are rusted, and very large.
I presume there are more compact and elegant units around 60 years later.
All suggestions will be welcome. These days it is not a problem having parts shipped out from the US.
It certainly is hot where I am (Brisbane).

I have 62 Phoenix . I am also in Queensland, I live in Brisbane, which may look close-by to those on the other side of the world. If you are coming this way, drop in for a XXXX and a cruise in my 62.

I currently live in Cairns but continually travel for work so time is limited.
The car is situated in Cairns and in the process of clearing everything around it and doing research to get a good run at it.
Read the story of getting a dodge from NSW and made me reflect as I spent my youth around Gunnedah, Bogabri, Barraba, Moree etc.
Will keep a look out for further stories and also update when I get things in motion

What part of the country do you keep your Phoenix in?
Ben Simpson, my nephew, is probably the owner of the previous one listed on here. There's a 'Mopar of the Month' article devoted to it somewhere but I can't find the way to locate that now.
Ben started to get it ready to race in Appendix J but marriage and kids have got in the way so it might be some time yet before it hits the track.
