Re: 62 Heater Hose Routing ,No Heat



She has to run with the cap off coolant flowing thermostat full open. Then you add to get your level, every car is different as far as levels. My car likes 1.5 inches bellow the cap any more it will blow out the overflow tube. I really never had trouble on my car. The heater hoses could be higher and it will not flow that good that could be a problem just something to look at. The worst car I ever worked on for burping was a 92 caddy with the 4.9 them hoses ran all over the engine bay it was crazy some hoses or tubes were higher then the engine and they were so long. You will get it. These cars, all cars not only mopar can be a pain but we love them.

sufficiently. There's not much to a heater core when you think of it: unless it is clogged due to old age, liquid just flows
through it. Your '62s core is new so no issue there.
