After the RTV sets up completely, use a sharp utility knife to trim the excess. Photos of both my cast Iron and aluminum manifold installed this way. As far as the new CP manifold goes I have yet to hear from anyone who has installed and run one on an engine. No reports on how they will seal.Nick T.

Ultimately the new CP wind tunnel poly manifold, but a Weiand single plane may get put on briefly. The owner of Racer Brown Cams (Jim Dow) wants to do a dyno comparison of the two manifolds on the same motor. He is acquired a big batch of NOS manifolds and is now selling them. Since I was intending to get my motor dynoed, I thought this would be a pretty neat thing to do while I have the opportunity.Bill MOn Jan 1, 2015 12:29 PM, <furyus63@xxxxxxxxxxx> wrote:

Subject: Poly Intake Gasket End Seals
Getting ready to install my new intake on my motor. When I set it on with the main gaskets in place, the gap at the ends between the intake and block is half the thickness of the end seals. The foam version will compress just fine but will squeeze out unless glued down. The cork won't squeeze out but I'm concerned about its ability to compress that much.Any thoughts about using one vs the other?
