No MoPars, but my car-hoarde Uncle’s estate involved 24 some vehicles, half of which were literally sinking into the soil for decades. Including (3) Pintos and (2) travel trailers.
Some of them not even in his name. The property is 1,200 miles away in SoCal making it even more challenging. I call up a “cash for cars” yard and line them up to haul off (7) cars, knowing I only had found titles for (3). Figuring get them there and some
kind of deal can be worked out. Called California Highway Patrol figuring they would give some kind of paperwork, “We do not respond to abandoned vehicles on private property”. What do they want us to do, drag them into the street then call? The scrappers paid $300 each for the titled cars, but refused to take the cars with no titles including this beauty. Luckily the tow-truck contracting for them said when all is done
he would come back for the others at a reduced price. Found another scrapper dude to haul off the travel trailers and other scrap. Scrapping out a travel trailer is a lot of work. Did have titles to those - so maybe they just sold them who knows. It wasn’t over then, the legit place sent me paperwork twice more to sign on the Pintos, because the I’s were not dotted or T’s crossed to California’s standards. We had a ’98 Nissan
that was in better shape but not running. Donated it to “Kars 4 Kids” and they reported back it sold “at arms length” at auction for $1,200 with no paperwork hassle. They would not of touched the cars with no title either. From:

On Behalf Of Daniel McCormack Yeah in NY it’s anything older than 1973 is not titled, but it has a transferrable registration. Even if you buy a titled vehicle from another state that’s
older than 1973 you wind up with a transferrable registration when you register it in NY. However if you have a 1973 or newer NY vehicle and don’t have the title for it good luck in trying to get it registered.

On Behalf Of Bob Faunce I have seen a lot of comments among group members about the lack of a title being a non-starter. In New England, most of the states did not require titles
until the 1970s or 80s, which means that I can buy, for example, a 1965 Dodge from New Hampshire, which did not require a title in 1965, and register it in Maine with simply a bill of sale. I have bought and sold several cars this way without a problem.

On Behalf Of Hall, Ricky L 9 passenger too boot - could convert my ’62 wagon with parts from that.......... ; ) Wonder where the spare is located on a 9 passenger wagon.
No title is a non-starter though for the whole thing. Just trying to scrap some old cars sinking into the soil on my Uncles estate in SoCal this year was a major pain. -- -- -- Please address private email -- email of interest to only one person -- directly to that person.
