Well today was the big day to install my new driveshaft and fix a small leak in my tranny. Once the car was up in the air the job was to be nothing more than replace the leaking gasket for the park cable cover and in with the new driveshaft. That's when it was discovered that the tailshaft housing was cracked. You ever get that feeling it's not going to be a good day.
For me I'm lucky I have the original trans which provided the doner unit and that the rear seal was in good condition. My pit crew did a great job as always replacing the tailshaft and with the new driveshaft installed we'll try some of those higher rpm shifts.
