If you only have 8" of vacuum at idle, then you
probably have the primaries open so far that the engine's idling on the main
circuit, so the idle mixture screws will have no effect.

thing was screwing the air/fuel screws in or out made no difference at all.
there was no visible vacuum coming from the carb or gasket.I know it takes a
pretty radical cam for just 8" vacuum and I run a 4 speed. But I know there is
more potential than I have now.

I'm not that thrilled with my Eddy either, but then I kitted a Carter and
couldnt make that work proper, and in my "racing" days I got my ass kicked by
Holly's too. Hmmmm,, I'm seeing a pattern here.
However,
if your willing to work with them, the Eddys seem quite tunable, as Rich K
sure learned alot about them. Think it's time to send mine to
somebody that knows what he's doing. Glad to hear Jeg's came
through on the warranty though. Especially since they are back in
Mopar's in Pro Stock again. Much rather do business with them than
Summit.
