Thanks, Rich! also, where did you get the dual quad throttle linkage?
damn, that old cast iron 2x4 manifold is heavy! This may be more of an exercise in blowing peoples minds and looking cool than having the ultimate in go-fast goodies. I hope that it at least turns out to be a little quicker than the single carb. It sounds like you are about to test that theory.

The dual quads are easily tune-able if you use a carb synchronizer. A must have investment for dual quads. I did a show and tell at a couple car shows by messing up my carbs and re-tuning them. It's amazing how the car smooths out and it is easy.I got mine from Dan Dvorak but it isn't hard to make one with a carb hat and Edelbrock synchronizer.Rich Kinsley '64 Dodge Polara 4dr 324 poly w/goodies

That is a nice looking engine!
I am also about to embark down that 2x4 route with the 383, it may be a bit of an adventure.
I see that you have an aluminum radiator, I may have to bite that bullet as well.

Rich , is that carb one of the two that you formerly had? Or a bigger CFM one? Think that one time at the 1/8 will tell enough?....................MO

This will be a test to compare the performance between the two combo's. Everything is the same except the carb's. The track will be open in about a week although the weather may not be conducive to running. I hope I can avoid any more broken parts and pieces! After I document this comparison I will begin to tear down the engine for the major changes on the way. New cam, rear gears, torque converter, heads and eventually EFI. Here's hoping I can get the mpg's I'm wanting now that I've had plenty rpm's :-)Rich
