I agree on not wanting the silicone in side engine and other places, but do not feel that alignment would be any more of an issue there than people that replace their springs with new or reached ones or switch rear ends from other cars  and do not check their pinion angle, and am betting that at least 70% have not, and are still running,,,,,,,
