Apparently its attached to a pump that you have to remove!!
It sounds like your referring to a 66 and newer 727 with linkage activated valve body with shift lever & throttle lever in one location with two seals to replace. Your 65 727 is a cable activated valve body and park, with just a throttle lever and only one seal and two O rings for the cables to replace to fix leaks. The KD-2392 will be a really cool shiny tool to display in your tool box and impress your friends & family with war stories, that will present itself as useless on a 62 - 65 727. I pry the seal out with a pocket screwdriver and tap the new seal back in with an appropriate deep well socket, replace the lever, leak gone. All with out the new tool or stories. Now if your O rings are leaking at your cables your getting into a bigger project.
