Thank you everyone. It was a carb issue. It did it when I got the car. I rebuild carb, still did it. The carb was full of rust chunks originally, I thought I cleaned all the passages out, but who knows. I adjusted and tinked with the floats and everything I could, no luck.
maybe torque converter isnt locking out.--

Re-check float level and idle set screws when the engine is hot. Double check for vacuum leaks.
Does it stall in D and N?
