I wrote that article after I changed over the rear brakes on my 64 Polara.  Its straight forward, easy, and inexpensive to do.  The hardest part is getting the old hubs off.  As long as you have the tool and a little time it won't be too much of a problem.  Once they're off and you go to reinstall them, just make sure you use a little anti seize on the axle and you won't have a problem getting them off again if your chunk ever needs service.  When you're done you can use all the same brake parts and drums as the later 65 and up "B" body cars.  This mod works very well for any street driven car.  However, if you're going to spend most of your time on the strip, you might be better off going to a later model rear.  Even then you'll still have to rebuild the brakes before you install it.

One hint though.... don't try to press the lugs out without grinding them flush to get rid of the swedge. If you don't you'll ruin your hub.  When they're flush with the hub, just drill a little hole (1/8" will do) about a half inch deep in the center of the lug which allows it to collapse on itself when removed. Once you've done that you can press them out without any damage to the hub.
