I read somewhere that the answer is no. The diesel formulated oils like Rotella now have less of the required additives needed for our pushrod gas engines. Sorry, I can't find those references right now. Probably safer to buy the "enriched" oils advertised as made for pushrod engines or / and include an additive to reach the formulation specs cited by Gary P.
