Sounds like the Y chromosome has kicked in. Heh heh. Careful spraying. I'd stick with using it for what the manufacturer suggests. For switches they recommend a different product, for example, DeoxIT FaderLube. 
You could call them and ask about auto use too, I suppose. http://caig.com/
