Thanks Nick, I had envisioned it to be mounted near the top of the head. If my motor mounts are good, I expect this would cost less than their posi lock motor mounts....................MO On Sep 10, 7:41 pm, furyu...@xxxxxxxxxxx wrote: > Mo, > > > > This is a photo from the installation instructions, very easy to install and adjust. On my 63' Sport Fury with the RB engine I bolted the lower bracket to the K-frame as shown. On my 63' Fury with the Poly stroker the set up is about the same but the lower bracket is welded to 1/8" band iron stock and then welded to the K-frame. > > > > Nick Tiberio > > FuryUs63 > > > > > > ----- Original Message ----- > > From: "MO" <mic...@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> > To: "The 1962 to 1965 Mopar Mail List Clubhouse" <1962to1965mopars@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> > Sent: Monday, September 10, 2012 1:38:16 AM > Subject: Re: Max Wedge Alive > > Nick what was involved to mount that adjustable torque strap? any > pics of it installed? I've always shown my Max Wedge car with stock air cleaners and will continue to do so. But for driving I switched to a set of K&N filters. What a difference, my idle went up 200 rpm, my exhaust leaned out, the engine and exhaust have a healthier sound, and when pushing down the pedal the response was like I was driving a different car. I can't wait to drive it tomorrow. > > > Also this week I installed a set of Schumacher motor mounts and their adjustable torque strap with positive results. First the engine sits in place with no rocking and rolling. In fact the left front of the car now raises up a little more when the pedal goes down. I had to do this several times, just a fun factor. The second positive result was that I now have more than enough clearance between the Max Wedge exhaust manifold and the powers steering high pressure hose fitting. > > > Nick Tiberio > > > FuryUs63 > > > 001.JPG > > 1303KViewDownload > > > 002.JPG > > 1520KViewDownload > > -- > -- > -- > Please address private email -- email of interest to only one person -- directly to that person.
