I wouldn't think it would have ever been a possibility.
I'd say, rarer that rare.

So I decoded the VIN and it was built at the Lynch Road plant.  It says it series 3=premium.  Not sure what that means.  Does that just mean the Sport Fury instead of the regular Fury?  Gary Pavolovich said that the 4 speed poly 318 setup was rare on the 63 Fury.  Any idea on the production numbers of this type?

Not all manufacturing plants used the exact same tag codes. I believe the fender tag number decode possibilities are based on where the Mopar was assembled because some assembly records were destroyed. Other plants' records were saved. Your car's VIN will also tell you the assembly plant that bolted together your Plymouth. Where was it built?
