Guess my 60 year old eyes don't see as well anymore. I/m not seeing
any grime on the valve covers. There is some discoloration on the
intake manifold but with cast iron that's to be expected. And it
looks like something has pooled on the valley pan. Again after 50
years I'm not surprised. To the question of aluminum bellhousings I
had one on my '61 Belevedere 3 spd. stick. I remember well because I
cracked it and all I could find in the local salvage yards to replace
it with was cast iron.
