Re: Front end progress/torsion bars

Rich is correct.
This is the way I figure it. The front end came from a Valiant donor car. I figure it had at least 80,000 miles on it when it became a donor. The speedometer in 41 showed 12.000 miles. I would assume it was new when installed in the 41 and she hit the road. So you are looking at a reasonable guess of about 100K miles on the torsion bars. They were .850’s. They are listed as /6 w/air and 318 without air. 41 might be a bit heavier than a Valiant?? The .920’s was a good choice. The next choice would have been 1.04. Guess we will never know if that would have been over kill.
