I second the Amsoil fluid. Though I've never used it on a 727, I've used it on my Neon, which was used when I bought it and hung on the first/second shift. A week later, the shifting was smooth as it could be. It's a Neon, so "smooth" is relative. hehe

If it helps, I've read the Neon tranny is loosely based on the 727. lol
