Well if u got flow you're getting heat transfer somehow. I would think the extra core would just be more water in the system, not necessarily more transfer. Only thing I can think of, is that with the extra core you have, it takes longer for the flow to reach the motor. While ur stopped with the decrease in rpm, less water is flowing through it allowing it to become "stagnant" in the motor. With a larger rad you would figure u need a larger volume or it would be a bottlenecked system. Idk that's my .02 cents lol using a lil process knowledge here. Could very well be an airflow problem too. Need more volume of air for larger rad? Idk just a thought
