I have been following this thread and for what it is worth, you also need to keep in mind that you oil pressure gauge is also 40+ years old and may not be reading correctly (be it good or bad). I would suggest that you hook up a actual oil pressure gauge (with numbers) and see what it is reading. I know added expense, but what is peace of mind worth? jm2cw

to dark for me to make out anything,,,,,,,,but as your describing it, it sounds low,,,,, not a dangerous low, and not unusual for a 40+ year old engine, it will more than likely run for ever and not be harmed as long as it has some pressure and only driven on the street, I would worry if it were constantly being driven at 4500+ RPM
