Re: tranny swap

The undersize pilot bushing can be bought at NAPA, but that only works if the crank is drilled already.
Mopar has a bearing that fits into the torque converter register. Tell the parts guy you have a 95 Dakota with a 5-speed. Advance has them p/n FC-69907.
The flywheel can be gotten from 440source.com: http://store.440source.com/1045-Billet-Steel-Flywheel-New/productinfo/113-1014/ It has a bolt-on weight so it works with the forged or cast crank.
You'll likely have to shorten the tip of the input shaft with the cast crank as well.

I have a friend that is putting a 74 440 in his 65 Belvedere,,,,,, it
came with a 727 on it but he wants to go with a 4-speed,,,,, as I remember most
of the cranks were not drilled for the pilot, but you could get around
that with a undersize bushing, does this sound correct, and if so what is the
undersized bushing part number or who has them, also he needs a flywheel
for it, and from what I am seeing there are several that will fit, but does
not sound like balance is the same on all of them, any input would be
appreciated,,, Roger
