Thanks Don, Joey, Herb, Mark, Mike, and Gary!
You gave me some good things to think about. I'm kind of having second=
=3D20
thoughts about the 360. The 360 is not my my engine of choice that I wan=
t=20
t=3D
o=3D20
end up with. So I don't know if I want to spend the money right now to=
=20
get=3D
=3D20
the 360 to work, or just save the money for later. I sure hate not being=
=3D
=3D20
able to cruise around while I am waiting for a money miracle to happen.

I have a plan. If everyone that gets this email will send me a self=3D20
addressed stamped envelope and $10, I will send them a nice mint=20
condition=3D
=3D20
picture of a happy guy. What do you say? Better hurry before they are=20
all=3D

gone.

You also have to be careful that you are not dealing with a lock up=3D20=

conveter.
That was in some Cardobas. It has a different main shaft that enters=
=3D
=3D20
into the
converter.

You can use your stock converter and the stock 904 transmission but=20
there=3D

are 2 things to check;

1) check the snout of the TC. If its the small 65/earlier type, you'l=
l
need and adapter ring (bushing) for the larger size crank bore.
2) you can also use that neutral TC IF you get the TCI special=20
"balanced=3D
"
360 flexplate for a 904 trans. They also have a balanced flexplate for=

727.

Converter will be a problem. The converter for the 360 balance has a=
=3D20
larger
input shaft than the present converter. The converter will fit but the=
=3D
=3D20
car
will not move! That said it is a simple fix, just replace the old pump=
=3D
=3D20
and
input shaft with a newer one from a 727.

the engine should bolt up to your 727, might want to check on converter=

weights though, later 360's I think are balanced differently.

You'll definitely have to swap the oil pan (truck/van is rear sump)=20
and=3D

use the oil pickup for the center sump. You'll also need a car 360 oi=
l
pan - 273/318/340 pans won't fit the 360.
