Thanks Mike I have a question . Was the 64 Fury the same body deminsions- wheelbase as the other 64 Plymys? What year did Furys become a little larger car? ......................MO

here is what i did on my '64 fury.  i ordered a set of 456/457 (3400#)
SS springs.  i then took my original springs apart and kept the main
spring (the one with the pin and eyes for the bushings) and put the SS
leafs (minus the SS main spring) on the original main spring.
everything fit like it came from the factory with the added benefit of
the SS springs.
or you can put on the front hanger extensions.

We had this conversation about 6 Months ago on the board and every one came
to an agreement 62 / 63 20 inches no spacer and 64 / 65 22 inches two inch
spacer for SS springs to fit. Now MO goes and throws a wrench in the game
with a 64 with 20 inch spacing. (-: MO was your car an early production
car that might have used 63 parts?? The conversation was about Layne
Grissman trying to fit just the SS springs with out spacers on a 64 and had to ultimately purchase the 2 inch spacers to have every thing align up. You
know what they say, never say never!

I measured my stock springs on my 64 Dodge B body yesterday and the front
part measured 20" . They must be stock springs, there is no front spacer.
Herb is well informed, but something doesn't jibe--- The Question
continues...................MO
