Thanks Gary, I still have one old style seal in a gasket kit but Fel-Pro should know what they are doing, I'm going to install the new seal. Good to see that I am not the only one who is concerned about the seal design change. Per the instructions the side seal will just be RTV. They supply two pipe cleaner things that get soaked in water and inserted in the RTV side seals. RTV needs moisture to cure and I guess this must work.
