Re: Under the dash

Thanks Rich, I did get the panel loose from the dash but not very far. When I discovered the P problem, I quit for the day. Back at it tomorrow! Steering column is out..................................MO ----- Original Message ----- From: "Rich Kinsley" <rlkinsley@xxxxxxxxx>

Steve, The harness is held in by some closed loops that can be opened
by hand. The entire harness will lift out of them but there are many off
shoots of the harness like an octopus that can be bothersome. You can
pull the gauge cluster out the front and lay it down and work on the
harness easier. It always helps to just remove the steering column too.

Are you sure it is a connected "P" bracket? That is, sometimes I've seen
a bracket that looks like a P but one side of the P letter's loop is not
connected to the straight part, so the loop actually can be pulled open.

Thanks,
Gary H.
