There is an adjustment procedure using a test light on the website. It would work for either pushbutton, or floor shift. Jimmy Herb wrote:
Yes it is adjustable from the outside. I am not familiar with the floor shifter procedure and am just guessing off the pushbutton procedure, but were the shift cable enters the tranny case is a wheel with several holes in it and a small bolt holding it to the case. I bet it might not be too different than the pushbutton procedure. With someone holding the shifter in reverse remove the small bolt and loosen the wheel about five or six turns. Pushing in on the cable tighten the wheel till it is snug to the case. Then using the closest hole as # one in the wheel to the threaded one in the case rotate the wheel clockwise five holes and reinstall the small bolt. That should be very darn close to right but as I said I am just guessing on the floor shift procedure. The transmissions are the same the shifters are just different. Any corrections or conformations will be appreciated. It's a floor shift When I push the shift lever from 1st to 2nd, it does not shift until I push the shift lever about 1/8" more. Same from 2nd to drive and drive to neutral Is this something I adjust outside the transmission?
