From what I read, I don't think so. It was on the control arm hex for thefront of the torsion bar--- but you know how a thread can morf into something all wrong :-) This was on a 57 Chrysler. Maybe not necessary on a 64 B body........Thanks for the input.........MO ----- Original Message ----- From: "Steven Charette" <stevec@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

MO, '65 C-Bodies and '67-73 (and probably 74-75) Imperials had a torsion bar crossmember anchor isolator (2071 514-5). These were on the transmission crossmember where the rear torsion bar anchor mounted to the frame... that it?? On another forum there was a discussion about early Mopar torsion bars. Evidently they have a rubber cushion down inside the TB hex of the lower control arm . I guess between the front end of the TB and the back end ofthe control arm bushing shaft.??? I never saw anything like that when I disassembled my 64 dodge--Is there supposed to be a cushion there ?..........................MO ---- Please address private mail -- mail of interest to only one person --directly to that person.
