Just ran into this issue. The eng turning trim insert is the exact insert trim used on a 64 chevy impala. I know this for a fact as my buddy just redid his. He bought a roll of it. On our vehicles it was actually a tin insert. Chrome pieces on my 65 Satellite have this trim insert; on the chrome pieces between the tail lights. The trim/chrome shop that I just did business with told me he can put that trim on

I'll be watching this thread closely. I've been told that you can get someChebby tape that was used on corvettes and inlay it into the areas where thetrim has the turning marks, but I've not seen it. If there is a vendor out there who can take our old trim and restore it.....
