Kevin and Schuyler,Torsion bars and strut rods. These are the issues that I plan on addressing this winter after the car show season is over. I have already added front and rear sway bars. I still have the original 318 bars in my 65 Satellite. Engine is now a 440. To be able to get my camber correct I had to pull down the adjusters and as a result I am not getting full shock travel. I have the new bars (.920) and boots sitting in my shop. I really do not care to do all the work until I get some adjustable strut bars and new pivot bushings. I have also seen some adjusters that go in the pivot arms to help with castor also. I see that Just suspension does not make the adjustable strut rods any more. I believe American muscle is the only one. I agree with you Kevin...these are the springs and it only makes since, they are "wore out" Be glad to hear any comments and suggestions. Nothing better than "been there..done that..got the "T" shirt"

Hi Skyler, I think that what you have is commonly called, weak torsion bar syndrome. If in order to get the lift required (or desired) and you have to crank the adjuster almost all the way, the bar is weak and from 47 years of being twisted has gotten used to being twisted like that. I don't know what will happen with the bar twisted that much in the adjuster but I would worry that there is little suspension left and perhaps the bar may break. New bars can be purchased and installed and still leave the other items on your wish list for the future. Please let us know what you do.
