${top_text_ad} I'm in the same boat. I have to crank the adjusters in on my t-bars so that there's only ~1.25" of adjuster left (measured from the end of the bolt head to the adjuster plate face) just to get the car level! I know they are old and weak and need to be replaced, but I just don't have the $ right now to buy new ones after recently rebuilding damn near everything else having to do with brakes and suspension on this car. However I know that my ride will improve greatly as my current t-bars have such a lowered spring rate now from being so worn out. -- Bill M 65 Coronet 500 'vert http://1962to1965mopar.ornocar.com/mmo62008.html On Wed, May 13, 2009 at 5:12 PM, Schuyler Wrobel <sky62@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: > I was wondering if there is a way to tell if a torsion bar was put in > backwards? > cuz in order to set the adjustment to spec, I have to crank the adjuster > just about all the way in > on the right side bar. > > or maybe there's some other malady that would cause this? > > I've been driving on it this way for several years now.
