There's two kinds of shiny metal tape I have used:

1.  Sticky aluminum tape used for masking parts for powdercoating.  Normal 
tape burns up at 425 degrees so they use this stuff.  It is thin but actual 
aluminum and could probably be polished.

2.  High-zoot duct tape.  Pressure sensitive stuff used by HVAC guys on 
flexible air ducts.   Its very shiny, almost chrome.  Henkel makes some, 
maybe others.
