RE: Tapered Axle Hub Puller



I talked to Don Dulmage a few months ago about axle removal (after the 
hub was gone) and he said that what he uses is a piece of chain.  Attach 
it to the axle and the throw the chain away from the axle.  The slack in 
the chain will eventually tighten and snap thereby jerking the axle out.

I have also used that method for removing the hubs on a FWD car.

Sometimes the "old" ways are simple and effective.
